Audio on TV

I don't know if this has been asked. Looked but couldn't find anything. I have my pc connected to my Samsung tv through hdmi so I can watch movies. I have a set of computer speakers but for the life of me can't figure out how to set up them up to play on my TV. The speakers I have can connect though audio cable. Plugged in to tv but not sound coming from them. With them not plugged in to the pc I can't change the settings to make them default. Is there anyway to have the sound coming from the tv speakers and my computer speakers?

If your TV has an optical audio output you would need a DAC like this one to connect the PC speakers.

If it doesn't have audio outs at all then this will extract the audio from the HDMI that connects the PC to the TV.

That will allow you to get sound from both or either.
