Audio Terms and recommendations.

Hey I am looking for a good pair of head phones. (for less then $40)

I am thinking about this pair: Sennheiser HD201

On that page it compares the different Sennheiser models and I noticed this spec: THD < 0.7
What does that mean?


I listen to many types of music, Classical,Metal,Rap,50's,60's,80's......Rock. and I will also use these for gaming.

THD stands for total harmonic distortion. Not an important specification for picking headphones. Best way is to find a place that has them and use your ears.

Due to good review and a recommendation from a musician friend I went with the Sennheiser HD-280.
