Audio through Samsung Blu-Ray when streaming

When streaming movies/tv shows from the SmartHub on my Samsung TV I am unable to get the audio to flow to the Samsung Blu-Ray theater system. The sound will only play directly from the TV. We have a Comcast cable box in the set up. The connection from the Blu-Ray is plugged into the HDMI(ARC) on the TV. There is an optical audio cable from the cable box to the Blu-Ray. Any thoughts? It seems we should be able to stream sound through the Blu-Ray.

The optical cable from the cable box to the BD-HTS is redundant since you should be able to get the cable box and streaming audio through the HDMI ARC connection. Try disconnecting the optical cable, make sure the ARC is turned on in the TV audio menu and selected on the BD-HTS. That should feed the audio from whatever is playing on the TV into the BD-HTS.
