When I first hooked up my laptop to my TV via HDMI everything worked perfectly. Then, randomly, the audio stopped working. I think I have isolated the problem to my laptop but none of the forum solutions seem to work for me. I believe it's my laptop that's the problem because I've tried a different HDMI cable that I know works with my XBOX One and I've tried different HDMI ports, which all work with my XBOX. I have tried the solution of Show Disabled Devices in Sound (Playback Devices). I have tried all the different Formats in the Advanced tab of Properties for my HDMI connection. I have tried sound playback from a file and online (and online from different sites) and I get no audio. I can switch it so that I get video over HDMI and have the audio come through my laptop, but that sucks, especially when it worked properly before. Of note is the fact that when audio should be playing, I see the audio bars lighting up on the HDMI connection when I look in Sound (Playback Devices) as if it's playing the audio. I have tried restarting everything and I am sure that volume is not an issue at any point. In case it's relevant, I am using an ASUS Zenbook running Windows 10 Home, and the TV is a Dynex.
