Just as above, I had just installed my new MSI R7950 Twin Frozr, and everything is working. However, my sound, on the other hand, is not. When I view my sound, when I am attempting to play audio, it displays that it is playing, however, I am not hearing anything. My motherboard is a Foxconn 2AB1. It is also worth mentioning that I can not get my screen to display when I use an HDMI cable. So, as of now, I am using VGA. I was thinking this might be why I am not getting audio, but I do not know. Another thing worth mentioning is that I am using a TV that can double as a monitor. It's an Emerson, but I do not know the exact model number. I would appreciate assistance on this, as a silent life with no sound, is not the best. Thank you for any help.

Solution
Something to try--open your device manager and click on the triangle by "Sound, video, and game controllers" to open its list. Find "AMD High Definition Audio Device," right-click on it and select "Disable," and answer the "Do you really want to disable it?" query with "Yes."

Then reboot, and see if your sound is back.

Thanks for the advice. That, however, did not work. I am still getting the same issues.
