Audion solution to home theater from smartTV ap(Youtube)

Youtube sounds from Sony smart tv(40W65D) not connected with sony hometheater (DA350)

Is the optical out of the TV connected to the HTS?
Is the optical out of the TV turned on? You may also have to turn the TV speakers off.
If you are getting sound from other apps then check any setting in the Youtube app. If not then the TV may not send audio from the apps. Some don't. Pretty stupid.
