Audiophile Headphones for Gaming?

I listen to music quite a lot and have been using crappy earbuds for while that just died, so I want to make the upgrade to some really good audiophile quality headphones, I looked around and found that the Sennheiser HD25-1 II seem to offer the best sound, plus also a friend has them and let me use them, and they sound great. But how are audiophile headphones like the Sennheiser like for gaming?

I trade din my $300 Sennheisers for the Logitech G930 .... not saying the G930s sound better .... but the freed om from cordless was worth more to me than the minimal difference in sound quality.
