how do i connect audio for tv/basic cable no box from magnavox lcd 42mf531d/37 to phillips hts3450/37 dvd home theater

the tv has a S/PDIF audio out. One simple RCA coaxial cable to the receiver. Use the one that is under 6 ft. Anything over require a higher awg core.
