auto brightness problem not resolved after much tries

hello,

I have a Lenovo x220 laptop. I have searched everywhere for disabling autobrightness from doing it via power options, disabling adaptive brightness service, and changing registry w/ no luck. If I just delete the service will that be fine.

Can you put the brightness on AC and DC on the same level ? does this make a difference ?
then cover the sensor with some black tape ?

Not a clean solution but it could work !
