I am running Windows 7 and so I downloaded something and I have Avira Antivirus on my PC. When I tried to open the file, Avira blocked it and popped up with a "Security Alert".
It said it had detected the file: "ADWARE/Techsnab.189288 (cloud)"

I am wondering if this is a false postivive, or is this really a virus? Has anyone come across this before? And does anyone know how to unblock a file so you can open it? I couldn't open the file as I got the error: "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service".

I did a scan on virustotal and here are the results: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/9ee15b55ff5693c0b89e17dee4367fef78cada54cbde6ecf0f592b3643c41562/analysis/1435994801/

Do you think I should run the file or not?

This was a game or movie you downloaded?
And your AV is telling you there is a virus in there?
A game/movie that has apparently been ripped?
And you want to know if you should run it?

1. That is the equivalent of asking if it is safe to take a chainsaw to your big toe.
2. Tom's does not support piracy of any kind. Closing this.
