AVR will not play sound from my TV.

Hello, I followed this thread: http/www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-1811612/audio-port-improve-sound.html to upgrade the sound on my TV, since it does not have audio output.

I have connected my TV (Samsung UN32EH4003) to this AVR: http/www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IAM74UO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

I can not get the sound to come out of the speakers that are hooked up to the AVR by a digital audio cable. If i plug my PC into the AVR, the sound comes out of the speakers perfectly fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to have my speakers working with the TV instead of returning the AVR.

On most surround receivers you have to assign the digital connection on the rear to an input.
The input menu is where you do this.
