Baterry wear 50% what to do

My Asus is less than 2 years old. It lithium baterry wear 50%. Some time up an down, around that number. I run Windows/Linux/Hackintosh and each Os see the battery differently. Windows have the longest run and measure accuracy. While in Osx or Linux I can run my pc up to 20 minute after the battery drop from 40% to 0% suddenly. I think Linux and OSx killing my battery. But I want to keep these 2 OSs. What special config and awareness do I have to make to reserve my battery and PC in over all. Also I seem Linux and Osx run quite heat. Lack fan control and speedstep control.

Thank you Dear. I do it the calibration and I gain dozen percent capacity.
Not many of shop-presale-techie have thorough knowledge about new lithium-lion battery these days.
They still recommend users to do full circle charge or constant plugin always, as if the old days Ni-Cd.
In fact I found new battery technology lead to renew caring lion baterry care
Fortunately my Lenovo laptop conserve battery by set charge threshold from 55%-60% limit, also one-click calibration
