Hello,
Im planning to buy a new laptop(DELL studio 15)...I have gone through some reviews where i could find that Dell laptops with I7 core r having very less battery back up.....

I want to know what is the relation between batteery back up and the processor(Core i7 is said to be Quard core , 8 threads)?

And im going to use my laptop for computing tools(Such as MATLAB)and for little multimedia...

I expect valuable suggestions from the community members......

Thanks in advance....

Well simply the more powerfull a processor is the more power it's going to need....
So your running time will be less...
If you really need the portability and that kind of power I would definetly get a spare battery and limit my time away from an a/c outlet!!!!!
Other than that enjoy the power it's a nice machine...JQ

If you're worried about battery life, you could always just stick to the i5. It only has two cores, but it should handle the majority of tasks pretty well.
