battery detection issue in dell lap

i have bought dell lap before 1year.now battery was dead and i have bought now new battery from rega-it of dell 9 battery cell.its non dell battery
now battery was not detectedand not charging .in battery meter it shows "battery working normally and the system cannot commmunicate with the battery".
lap specification:
lap-dell vostro 2520
4GB RAM
hard disk -500GB.
please give me the solution. i am need of usage of lap with battery.

I went thru the same thing years ago with my HP laptop...
Solution is simple, go buy a dell battery.

You may find an aftermarket battery that works but you will need to dig thru users comments for numerous batteries quite diligently to find it and then the battery that does work might not be that much of a savings over just getting a new Dell battery right from the onset.

Like popatim said, it is always safer and more reliable to buy directly from the manufacturer. You most likely purchased a bad battery from that retailer
