Battery not charging when in windows but charges only when completely power off

it only seems to charge in sleep mode or when its off.

if the laptop is somewhat charged and i plug the ac adapter in. the light will only illuminate white and it wont say its charging.

the only way i work around it is if i let my comp go into sleep mode. then i turn it off completely. then wait a minute.then the charger will turn orange. then i turn the laptop back on and the charger is recognized and it charges.

i cant see option of components test in bios

but i can see option for hard disk , memory test

first time it said no battery and 2nd time detected battery in HPBRCULauncher.exe

also when i go to standby mode orange indicator light comes for charging battery but when not in stand by mode battery is not charging at all. as soon as i turn laptop on and even before going to bios screen also the indicator changes from orange to white light

why this is happening

laptop HP 15-ba025au WIN 8.1

Battery is 100 % in good condition
hp india support is not helping at all they dont even reply to my emails regrading this problem

If it will only charge when in sleep mode or off, then your charger is probably going to need to be replaced. When they start to go, not charging when the device is on is a typical sign of that.
