Battery not giving power backup.

I have recently bought a new laptop battery from amazon. Its has been just 4/5 months. But the battery is giving just 15 to 20 mins of power backup when fully charged. when the battery is 10% and when i plugged in for charging the battery get charged to 100% in around 10 to 15 mins.

please advise me what could be the cause.

what was the original number and model of this toshiba battery you had in system .

Notice that the genuine toshiba battery on the same page is more expensive and probably of better quality.

The simplest explanations would be that the battery is either not new, not genuinely rated 4400mAh or the laptop is rejecting it due to not meeting its charging/discharging specifications. Ex.: if the battery pack has excessive ESR due to poor cell quality, it can cause the charging to end prematurely due to reaching end-of-charge voltage quicker and cause the battery capacity to drop quicker due to excessive voltage droop.
