Battery plugged in, not charging. New battery. Tried full drain

Hi

I've been searching for a long time and I'll be glad for some help

1. I have an Asus GL502VT laptop. It worked well.
2. I had a blown fuse which is related to the operation of the display. It was replaced and now the display is ok. The fuse was a 32v 3a 0603 fuse
3. However, near it, I removed some component mistakebly, which I can recognize and now the battery is not charging. Windows says "plugged in, not charging".
4. The laptop works plugged or from the battery, but the battery won't charge.
5. The battery indicator is always lit (orange), even when the battery is not connected

Since you don't know the name of whatever piece you removed then either find the part online or take a picture of the part.

You said you removed it, did you put it back in/plug the cables back in it?


When doing all of this disassembly with the laptop, was the laptop unplugged with the battery removed?

Thanks. I understand how problematic it is

1. I couldn't solder it back, because it was damaged. I'm not sure if it was like that or not
2. Yes, it was unplugged and the battery removed
3. Although I don't know what part it is, it seems to have some "relation" to the fuse that was replaced. They were very close to one another and the only ones around. Both were near the LCD connector
4. The battery is fine. Also tried another battery

Any clue how can I track it? I can't find anywhere the schematics.

Without a picture there is not much of anything we can do. Bottom line you need to figure out what you damaged, and get it either fixed or replaced.
Since you don't know what it even is for, powering your laptop up without it could cause further damage.

Just because it was near what you replaced in ZERO way means that it has anything to do with what you replaced, could easily just be the only open spot to put it on the laptop.

OK, then, how can I track the problem? what do I need to measure?
Sorry for the headache. I'm willing to pay, but there is no good labs around here, only those who will take your money to replace the motherboard for more than the price of the laptop..

The black one is the burned fuse and the other one was removed by mistake. Does that help in any way?

It's a friend who have removed it. That's why I have limited knowledge

Are you referring to what is in the red square in the middle Left?
Even zoomed in it is hard to see as it is very dark and there is too much resolution wasted on the rest of the rest of the laptop. A high-res picture of just the problem area would be much more helpful.
