I expect the newly-released Sharp Aquos 32LC-GP3U "gaming" LCD TV on Friday. Got it at Fry's online for $1250 + $20 shipping (also available at J&R for a similar price) All-in-all, it looks to be a very versatile unit for HDTV, SDTV, PC, and Console games. It's specs are pretty impressive:

32" (1920x1080), 3 HDMI 1.3 ports, 1 DVI, Sharp 4-wave backlight, 6ms response, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (2000:1 constant), Vyper Drive (reduces input lag on games), supports 24fps in 1080p blu-ray

This is an improved version of the well-liked GP1U, with better contrast ratio and supposedly has much quicker response to input. Comes in 3 colors too... :) Owners on this thread seem to love it:

EDIT: THIS LCD DOES NOT HAVE A DVI INPUT. Any cheap dvi-to-hdmi cable will fix this however.

Just got the GP3U. Bottom line, it's terrific for everything. I'm mainly using it for PC and Console gaming, but it also looks great with HDTV and Blu-Ray (at 24fps). Games like Bioshock, Crysis, Witcher look incredible. I have nothing but good things to say at this point.

I haven't tried the attached speakers yet, and probably won't ever need them.

A huge step up from my 2407 Dell for PC use, and very comparable in image quality to my Samsung LNT4061F.

My 720p 37" Aquos works great for movies from standard def dvd's upscaled by HTPC and powerdvd5. Im not sure how it would compare to a stand-alone upscaling dvd player but it looks great from my computer via dvi-hdmi cable.
