Best free program to capture stream

I watch some internet TV on veetle.com to watch streams. I wanted to record some and watch later.

I have a program called aTube Catcher and it claims to be able to record streams...I get to the stream screen but there are not instructions how to do it?

Anybody else know how its done or recommend an easier program to record streams from?
