Best gaming laptop under 550$ ?

friend needs a new comp and al he needs it for is games his buget is 300-500 dollors he whants to play call of duty and minecraft mosty he only needs about 250-500gb of space and 2-8 gb of ram dosent matter what brand and heonly needs a cd drive to put games in and atlest 2 usb ports i5 or i7 thank u

u going to have to spend more money than that if u want an ivy bridge i5 with HD 4000 graphics for gaming. try saving up a couple hundred more.

also, dont get 2gb of ram, ensure that it is at least 4gb.

it has HD 3000 graphics. it'll play a decent amount of games. new games might strain it and ull have to put settings on low but it'll still play it. maybe games in 5 years it wont be able to play.
again, still try for an i5 with HD 4000 graphics and 4gb ram

HD 4000 will play something like Lord of the Rings Online at 1080p with very high details. But, it won't run BF3 at 1080 with all setting to low at a playable framerate.

Might be able to at a lower resolution.

The above laptop is far better as amd offers better value in the lower end. However overclocking a laptop is a bad idea and overclocking the videocard is very hazardous as it has enough trouble dissapating heat as it is.

Actually. theres alot of laptops with 4 gigs of ram and GT 720M under 550$. Processor is not the main thing you want to look for. i3 just does it. Try Lenovo G series. they are cheap and haas graphics like GT720M 2GB and HD8570M, plus theres always HP that uses HD8670M graphics. try HP n010ax or something like that. It has an i3 processor with dual graphics HD8610G+HD8760M , one for the crossfire supported games and other one for the non crossfire supported games. Theres still lot more. I got ASUS A550CC with i3 and GT720M under 550$
