What is the best home audio video source. Is Blue Ray still the nest option or has something else come down the raod?

Depends on how you want to define "best". There is UltraHD 4K video available. Audio will depend on what you have for source material.

UHD but content scarce, u are dealing with mostly demos.

For video 4K HDR Blue Ray discs are the best quality source.
Next would be a 4K HDR media streamer.
For music HiRes audio files would be the best digital source. Best analog source would be a turntable for vinyl or a reel to reel tape deck playing copies of master tapes.
