I have 2 different displays in the same room (a monitor and a 4k TV) with 2 different consoles plugged into the TV. What I'd like to do is be able to use either console on either display without having to switch cables around/move the systems (It's only about 10-15 feet but cables would be crossing right through a high-traffic area of the room so wireless is probably the only way)

So what I'm thinking is finding some sort of HDMI switch that takes 2 inputs and 2 outputs (that hopefully can be controlled from a remote or something?) with one of its outputs going to the TV and one going to a wireless HDMI dongle leading to my computer.

Is there any problems with this idea? Would I need to have 2 different splitters? Can this be even remotely cost-effective? I'm completely uncertain if this would even work so if someone with more experience can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

It should work. You may have to get an HDMI matrix switcher with more inputs than you need. The quality of the switcher and wireless HDMI set up will affect how well it works. This wireless HDMI set up specifically mentions near zero latency.
Not cheap.
