I am due for an upgrade on my smartphone and I am annoyed by the ads I see using iOS on my iPhone with the Safari browser. I really prefer using an iPhone, it seems more 'snappy' and quicker than other phones I've tried and it always works. If you are really adamant about using another phone then let me know. I REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoy using Safari, but ads/redirects are starting to test my patience. I also like to use Safari in private mode, in case my phone gets stolen/hacked/etc.
My questions are as follows:
1. Is there any good legitimate adblocking software for iOS without having to jailbreak my phone?
2. Are there other browsers available for iPhone that have effective ad-blocking features?
3. Is an android a better phone to use for ad-blocking? (I read that Firefox, which is my preferred PC browser, can be installed on Android and use ad-blocker.)
4. Personal experiences are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.
5. Any other recommendations, ideas are welcome.
