Best SmarTV for Media Files?

Hello, i'm looking for a new TV for playing media files, more specificly MP4, MKV and other video formats, i have a samsung smart tv but the issues i have with it is that most of the file formats are not supported, meaning the codec is not compatible (mostly audio codecs from what i can tell).
So i'm looking for a tv that can play a majority of codec files, specially 10bit encodes.

TV manufacturers don't really pay a lot of attention to keeping up with codecs but you should be able to add an external media playback box that will have more codecs and will add and update them with greater regularity. Be cheaper than replacing your TV too. A Roku might work. Here is a link for it:
