Which is the best tool for computer problem diagnostic? Which for software? Which for hardware?

What about software for maintenance? Which is the best?

P.S. Best answer would be "Paid: x, y, z; Free: x, y, z," as in include BOTH paid and free variants.

I just want to know what I can use to diagnose/repair problems. Like potential hard drive failure, memory failure, CPU failure, PSU problems, motherboard problems, "slow" computer, cleaning the registry, junk files, scanning for viruses. And generally I mean tools that don't require you to boot Windows.

Basically I'm looking for useful stuff to put into my USB, that's what I'm trying to achieve.
