I'm in the market for a new LCD,LED or plasma tv, im looking at a 42" +. Which one of the previously mentioned would be the best for gaming? (model and brand would also help). I have an Xbox 360 and Ps3. Im trying to get as little possible lag when playing and also a good frame rate per second. Lets for arguments sake say that price is not an issue, but if there is an option that meets all my requirements and doesnt have to swallow my wallet entirely i would definitely consider it. i do prefer the higher end brands-sony,lg,samsung,pioneer etc. Any good advice on what the better tv is, would be greatly appreciated.

Generally speaking all LCD panels inherently has some lag involved with the technology. There is no way to get around it, it is simply a limitation of the technology itself.

I am not very familiar with plasma technology so hopefully someone will chime in on this technology.

im basically in the same boat as OP. im looking for around 42" for gaming on my 360. a bit of tv watching but mostly gaming. from what ive learned the last few days, plasma is good cause theres no input lag, and you get really good, rich colours and smooth motion. but ppl also say that LCD is the way to go for gaming. i think thats mostly cause of burn in, but thats basically a thing of the past with new plasmas now unless you leave it paused for a couple of days
