Best Windows Laptop around $250

What is the best windows laptop $250 for going to college? No net books please. Screen resolution and battery life don't matter. I live in the US.

Jesus... 250$?! ... well, you could always look at Gateway laptops, I think they start at around 350ish... 250$ is kind of tight for something not second hand.

By the way, I'm fully assuming this is strictly for school work, as in Word, email, etc... You won't be gaming on this, nor using any hardcore programming suits, right?

No games, except maybe CSS when I'm bored. Otherwise, yes only for Word, email, and Internet surfing.

Look at Gateway, or look at NCIX.com (us site) or Neweggs.com on deals with free shipping. If it doesn't have free shipping, at that price it's not worth it to get it online: just get it at an electronic store.

250 eh? well i am sure you could fina laptop with a value CPU like any AMD, an intel celeron or pentium

$249 with free shipping. It has the Chrome OS. But you should be able to get windows 7 or 8 at school for $20.
