Beta DirectDraw Update

Ok, here is the deal i have 8.1 stuck on my system with it saying. beta direct draw has expired please update...

great tried at microsoft...tried removing it...damn thing wont let go of me.... any ideas? how to bring it down to 8.0?

This should be a common problem.....so there should be sum
people with some more info about this problem....

I have directx8.0a so there is nothing to update.....so
where's the 'beta directdraw expired' coming from...?!

do a search on google or similar for dxun v.13 or direct x uninstaller v1.3 (same program) and give it a try ... FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS !!! reinstall dx 8.0a afterward

I had this too, and fixed it!
I downloaded a directx uninstaller, ran it (as per the instructions) and then reinstalled the official dx8 form microsofts site- all is well, I cant remember where I got the program but a lot of people have had this prob so I uploaded it to <A HREF="http/www.calvsplace.cwc.net" target="_new">my site</A> Ive posted this in a few places but no one has said weather it worked for them or not, anyway, it did the trick for me, be sure to read the instructions.
