i believe that i may have a virus deep in my system and the first signs were core power ups were failing it only reads 6 out of 8core, then after some fiddling the MBR was missing i could not even launch an os off a disk when it comes to press any key to boot from cd, it says boot mbr missing as soon as i press a key, after about an hour the mobo would not get off Boot up, so i flashed the bios with a usb and hey it works now then used my disk and launched up some tools (windows cmd) i used Bootrec/fixmbr and hey everything works for now and it picks up all 8 cores but i was wondering if that was a bios/mbr virus.

Also i should really nuke my hdd's shouldn't i?

If you are concerned with that, there is no need to nuke your hard drive. First thing you can do is download a good antivirus like malware bytes, and run a full scan while in safe mode with networking to clear viruses out effectively.
