My uncle passed recently and I have inherited his Sony Vaio E series laptop.
I have a bios password at startup. I have the password. (because I had to reset it, was able to get into bios before and reset those, thinking i could reset windows password but no. So Now i have a bios password request at startup)
But I need to reset the windows password..
However, when I enter the bios password i have to immediately hit F2 and it still goes to windows!
If I try to hold down F2 while typing the bios password it says wrong password, so I have to enter it, hit enter and immediately hit F2... I have had 2 results, either it sits with a blank screen and nothing happens, or it goes to windows, where it asks for the password to sign in, which I have to enter a password I don't have..
I have a windows password disc that I burned from a site online...
But i hear the disc working but nothing happens. I am wanting to get into bios so I can run the disc and reset the windows password. I am not super savvy when it comes to computer. I need computer for dummies language HELP me Please!!! I cant loose whats on the laptop..because we think he has bitcoin account on that laptop.
