Bit and Hz in the Sound options. Will it make my sound better through my headphones?

I was looking in the Sound options, under Properties for my Corsair Vengeance 2100 wireless headset. It seems like I could make the sound quality go from 16 bit, 44100 Hz (cd quality) to 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality).

I don't have a dedicated sound card. It is onboard audio from my motherboard:
GA-990FXA-UD3
Realtek® ALC889 codec is the onboard audio.

I was wondering if this would make the sound quality any better on my headphones? Also I have the same question for the desktop speakers. Their quality can go up to 24 bit, 192000Hz (Studio quality). Would that make a difference?

Won't make a difference. Even audiophiles with $2000+ of audio gear have trouble telling the difference in normal listening conditions.

The difference between 16-44.1 and 16-48 is pretty small so I don't think anyone could here the difference.
Changing your speaker settings to 24-192 changes how high your audio is upsampled by the mobo. It might make a difference in smoother highs but it would depend on the quality of the speakers and the audio source. Can't hurt to try it an listen for yourself. You can try downloading some free samples of real high resolution audio files and listen for yourself.
