Bittorrent Program so slow plz help

My internet speed is around 380-400 kbs. After following the steps of some guy on youtube i was able to get my download speed to 1.1mb that worked will for a month and now im back at 0.4mbs

I wouldn't recommend using bittorrent to be totally honest. Vuze or Deluge is the way to go. Make sure you allow the ports 6881-6889 TCP through your firewall and port forward through your router on those ports as well.

i cant mess with the router or modem coz its in my dads room and he will be pissed if i mess with it

You configure router from your PC so Dont worry about physically touching router.

torrent is about the seed, if they don't have good upload speed, you won't have good download speed. And also, your ISP might be throttle your speed.

Use this article on how to port forward. Keep in mind each router manufacturer has a slightly different interface so you may need to do some digging around in the settings.
