Black screen laptop, no luck yet

I've been trying all the potential solutions I found in the forums and have had no luck with my laptop(HP Windows 7) I removed battery, hold the power button, hit the FNs, etc. I'm currently living in a foreign country right now and don't have the language skills to explain the problem to a professional or to even locate someone who can help here.

Reinstall the battery, and charge it overnight. Try to boot it again.

If this persists, the laptop sounds dead. Usually the motherboard goes in these things.
