Hello,
I am trying to connect my laptop to tv...i have a HDMI to DVI cable. The HDMI is plugged into my laptop and DVI to the TV..But the laptop screen keeps blinking. What can I try?

This is the person who asked the question...the laptop is an HP dv5-2134 entertainment notebook. The TV is a Mitsubishi 1080p DLP HDTV. Video graphics on the laptop is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics and the laptop has a resolution of 1366 x 768.

Like I said, I used a HDMI/DVI cable to connect the laptop to the TV. The laptop screen blinks and the TV has a 1sec flash of the laptop screen. Please help!!!

I don't know about graphic card, but the laptop uses ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 Graphics.

I tried really low resolutions (in the 700s) but that didn't work. I am not at home right now to try the resolution you suggested, but I will try that. Some websites suggested changing the refresh rate or something, but I can't seem to modify that on my laptop. It is set at 60Hz right now.

Is there anything else I can try if changing the resolution doesn't work?
