To make something like this work for blockbuster they will need to provide the box for free and the monthly fee needs to be very small. I personally wouldnt pay more than $5 / month to have the box at home as blockbuster is 5 minutes from my house. I would also expect blu ray quality as that is what I rent. DVD quality and 5.1 sound would be acceptable but HD is where its at.

I don't see Apple TV as much of anything. I don't know anyone who has used it, has it, or is thinking about getting it.

errr so they want to stream HD or just regular DVD?

what's that going to take like a couple of hours for DVD and a whole day for HD?

going to be cutting into download caps big time 🙁

why bother when there is a blockbuster 5 minz away for MOST people
