Blu Ray Disc Movie

Hi All,

Suppose if i have purchased any blu ray movie disc then by accidentally if it is damaged, should i purchase the disc once more or can i rip and save in PC in advance such that i should not lose a single bit of quality from original?

You can rip the BD disc as a backup. The better the quality the larger the file size. Some discs come with access to a digital copy that you can download.

Hi americanaudiophile,

I heard of MakeMKV, but i don't want to use 'handbrake' as it compresses the original blu ray content, can i completely backup original data with MakeMKV ? In Simple words, if Original Blu Ray movie contains 50GB then i want to backup 50GB(exclude if it contains trailer) !!!
