Blue screen black screen

My fujitsu LH530 blue screen multiple times and ends up with no screen display. Connected it to a monitor and the display, again blue screen multiple times, until safe mode. It displays vertical dotted lines across entire screen.. previously, top of screen have occasional tiles flicker when running video.

It sounds like your display is going. If you are also saying that connecting an external monitor gives you issues as well, and won't work, then your graphics card is in need of replacement.

If it is that, then depending on your system, you may need to replace the motherboard.

NOTE: Before doing anything to it though, you should check if it is under warranty still. If it is contact the manufacturer about a repair or replacement.

I see, too bad it's a 6 y/o laptop, is it better to replace or to repair?

That I can't answer. It is going to depend on how happy you are with it and how it stands up to any newer options out there.
