Bluetooth Headphones - Battery Drain?

Hello,
I am considering purchasing bluetooth headphones for my laptop (HP presario dv2788se with a 12-cell Li-ion battery).

Will the bluetooth headphones run down the battery faster than corded earbuds? I mean, the headphones will have their own battery to reduce power need (to drive the speakers), but the wireless output from the computer might be more costly than this savings.

Thanks

It's not going to run down the battery any faster than using any other device (assuming you use the little transmitter the headphones come with that plugs into the headphone jack). I wouldn't worry either way though even if you have internal bluetooth having it on will have negligible impact on battery life.

I beg to disagree, based on personal experience. When I keep my Bluetooth of on my Dell XPS M1310, I get 30 minutes of juice (with the screen dimmed down a bit, to be fair).
