bluetooth headset to PC nightmare

Have a decent but cheap pair of bluetooth headphones that i want to hookup through my PC so i bought a bluetooth Dongle. haven't been able to get anything to work right even though i install all the necessary software and followed the directions. Drivers aren't installed or not working and peripherals are not found

Can you confirm the Bluetooth receiver is installed correctly and working (test with another bluetooth device) Also, test your blutooth headset with another bluetooth receiver (mobile phone, etc) This will tell you which bit of hardware is too blame.
