Solved! Bm-800 Condenser Microphone not working.

I recently bought a condenser microphone and a 48V power supply. I am having trouble figuring out what I'm doing wrong with this set up. I've got the microphone XLR cable going to the power supply, I have the cord that came with the microphone(XLR to the audio jack) plugged into the power supply and my laptop and still nothing's popping up. I've checked my devices and tried using a headset that works fine so I know it's not the audio jack. Any help would be very much appreciated. Is it possible the power supply, even though it's turned on, isn't getting enough power? The power cord that went to it is a 5V USB one I currently have plugged into my computer.

most likely you will need a splitter cable to connect only a MIC to the combined laptop´s audio jack

try the mic in your phone or different system

It seems you may be right, I tried it with my roomates computer that has a seperate thing for a mic and headset and just the mic and when I plugged it into that it worked perfectly.
