Bose 'R' Speaker muted audio

I have a Bose sound system from about seven years ago. My subwoofer has a R and L speaker input, and I noticed through troubleshooting that both speakers are fine... however, whichever speaker I plug into the R becomes super drowned out. You have to hold the speaker close to your ear to hear anything. The woofer puts out great bass, and each speaker performs well in the L slot, but again whichever speaker gets plugged into the R slot gets super washed out and muted.

I'd rather like to repair this set of speakers as I've had it for so long and they produce amazing sound.

Could anyone help me please troubleshoot this? I know nothing about electronics.
