Bound key? Or just garbage?

For some reason my letter "A" key opens up my internet browser. I thought it was a firefox issue so uninstalled firefox. Now the "A" key opens up ie. It seems as though it's somehow become "bound" to the Internet Browser shortcut key above the keyboard because no matter WHAT I'm doing on the laptop... the A key will open up whichever my default browser is.

So I need to know how the heck to "un-bind" that "A" key. I can't find ANYTHING via google searches for it.....

Or.... the keyboard's just pooched and the laptop is garbage.....

Thanks,

Rob

It's not necessary to throw away the laptop since the keyboard can be replaced. If you're uncomfortable doing it yourself you can consult a local repair shop.

Well judging by the lack of responses I'm going to assume that this doesn't appear to be a "common" issue and more than likely the keyboard is pooched. I uninstalled and allowed windows to re-install the keyboard and still the "A" key opens up my internet browser. The letter "A" appears when I first type it then a split second later the browser opens up.

So frustrating. The thing was working fine when I first acquired this used boat anchor... then all of a sudden without warning the "A" key just went rogue on me....

🙁
