After killing his father, the boy's uninjured but frightened mother gave the keyboard back. The boy then continued to play computer games for several more hours before he fell asleep, at which point the mother contacted relatives who called the authorities.

So after he killed his father the mother gave the keyboard back and let him play on the computer untill he asleep then called relatives.

WOW call the fucking police ur son just killed your husband with a freaking sledge hammer

That kid will end up in a prison that we in the USA would hope neverr to see.Believe me that kid will be someone's bitch in no time at all.

Have a good life kid !!!

I think there's a mixture of things to blame. First of all, video games have ratings for a reason. Secondly, parents tend to ignore these ratings yet STILL buy the games for the kids. Third, I agree with it has to do with your surroundings, who you hang out with, etc. Go on YouTube and look up "Les Brown Birds of a Feather". Maybe they live in somewhat of a ghetto, maybe the kid hangs out with other troubled or angry children. You can't just blame one thing, even though video games MIGHT'VE played a small contribution to the overall problem. TV doesn't help, either. Shows have ratings, too. Something else that parents have a tendency to ignore.

i wonder what he would have done if it was his net that got disconnected?

/ grabd a sledge hammer and bike and rode to his local isp...(events beyond this are too graphical to be displayed)

LOL. The kid is really stupid. The life of a father for a keyboard? Totally not worth it. How the hell did the kid get a sledgehammer? lol and its funny that the mother gave the keyboard back to his son.

[citation][nom]quantum mask[/nom]Parents are responsible for their children. Period. He's 14, there must have been SOME sign of what he was caple of what direction he was going. The parents simply didn't "nip it in the bud". How did he get that addicted to his games in the first place? Simple. The parents neglected to regulate his activities when he was younger. Now he feels he's entitled to it, so his best solution was to kill his father so he could get what he felt was his right. Even if he was simply "messed up in the head" his parents should have seen to it that he got the necessary help before it got to this point.[/citation]

Your simplicity boggles my mind.
For not knowing shit you sure make it sound like you know a lot. Seems to be a bit of a trend with this thread.

I've known a sertain family for a long time. This family is very normal and they have been everything else but sloppy with how they raised their son. He's had more rules, straps and eyes on him than most any kid I know. The son looks normal, behaves normal and interacts with others in a perfectly normal way. But when this boy was young his parents started to notice some problems. He turned out to be very bad at performing simple every day judgement and estimates regarding very simple things. If you sent him down to the store to buy milk he could come home with as much milk as the money could buy. You had to tell him to specifically buy 1 or 2 packages of milk. Otherwise he bought the store just to be on the safe side of having bought enough milk. If you told him to take some money and go buy 1 milk he was prone to take the "100 dollar bill" just to be sure he had enough money for one single milk package. You had to tell him what specific money to take if you didn't want him to run off with one hundred bucks. He was well into the age where he should have been able to figure out such things but he couldn't. There were many more examples that were even more weird than this.

The biggest problem he and his parents had though was that he often snapped. And let me tell you this boy knew how to snap big time. From a very early age (say 4 years old or there about) when ever something didn't go right or when ever he was interupted for dinner etc. he could go completelly berserk. He would smash things up and he would attack his parents. As he grow into a teenager things just got worse. His was finally diagnosed with a minor brain damage and the doctors told his parents that even though this isn't his fault you can never give in to him. You have to stand up to him, show him who's boss, punish him when needed etc. Treat him like a normal kid regardless of how hard that might be with this particular boy. The alternative would simply be to lock this boy up since the doctors felt his particular condition could prove dangerous both to himself as well as to others. And obviously we don't lock children away and throw away the key due to something that isn't their fault in the first place. So you have to fight to make things right.

He had rules like every one else only he was probably kept harder since he didn't always want to listen and was very persistent. He loved videogames but was only allowed to play them for a certain amount of time per day. At one occation his time was up and his mother told him he couldn't play more. But he was busy with "something important" in the game so he wouldn't listen. His mother got angry telling him to listen then pulled the plug and that was it. The boy leaped up and started threatening his mother and screamed profanities. The mother started arguing with him telling him that's no way to talk to anyone especially your own parents and told him he was grounded for the rest of the day, left the room and closed the door. The boy gave up a ear shattering scream and crushed the door to his room so hard it broke of its hinges. It layed in splinters on the living room floor. He shoved his shocked mother aside so she fell and hurt herself. That made him even more upset so he went on to drive his fists through the remaining 4 doors in their appartment. At one time the boy came home after having been with his friend. His mother saw the look on his face and emediatelly knew something was wrong. He looked furious but didn't say anything and wouldn't answer her. The boy went straight to the kitchen and grabbed a knife and went for the front door. His mother jumped up on his back and screamed at him to calm down but he just threw her off and went down the elevator. This boy was very tall and strong and his mother isn't. So a whole bunch of people had to go after him in order to stop him from attacking his friend with a knife which he had apparently gotten into an argument with.

Their son has a condition. A serious one.
The upbringing of this boy has been pure hell for his family. But with your logic I guess this was nothing more than another case of bad parenting considering the boy's sometimes completelly unacceptable or even dangerous behavior.

You don't have to have my personal experience to figure out that when someone behaves like this it's probably time to stop and think for a bit before running off to get a rope, shotgun or what ever weapon of anger and stupidity you might chose.

And yes the parents did gert help for their boy. Early on and they got it on a regular basis.

And to blindly blame the parents for something like this how ever true it might prove to be in the end, is just ignorant and down right brain dead before knowing the full sicumstances.

[citation][nom]lamorpa[/nom]@dreamphantom_1977: I suggest you seek professional counseling as soon as possible.[/citation]

Oh gee...... We have someone who feel's empathy for a cold blooded murderer. Maybe you should seek professional counseling. If that was someone you cared about getting hit in the head with a hammer, maybe you would understand. Instead you feel the pain of the murderer. If there weren't as many people like you, then maybe these people wouldn't stay in hiding instead of feeling so comfortable killing people. Can you tell that someone in my family has been murdered? To many people and laws to protect cold blooded murderers.

Put the fucker in prison.

I watched movies and played video games my whole life. I'm not out killing people. And I love my family. You want to know why these people kill? Its because the part of there brain that makes them care about people doesn't work. It's like a bad circuit. It's fried. They get off on killing. They don't care about you, they don't care about your family, they don't care about anyone, and they don't care about the consequences because sometimes they don't even care about themselves.

These type of people are called "REPEAT OFFENDERS". Don't feel sympothy, he murdered someone. Put him in prison.

Eye for an eye.

What a little brat. Who would kill their own father for a god damn keyboard? I mean, he could just buy a new one. Or use the On-screen keyboard.

[citation][nom]ponchato[/nom]We all know how angry a kid can get when their parents take something away; it's happened to all of us.But this is completely ridiculous. When one person is willing to kill another over a keyboard, especially his FATHER, he no longer deserves to live.[/citation]

kill one person to justify the death of another? anyone is capable of murder given the correct circumstances, so perhaps we should just wipe out the human race preemptively?

sounds like the kid has a serious mental instability issue. he should be given to experts who can diagnose and help him. no doubt he will instead be put in prison for 30 years and then be released into the populace more dangerous than ever.
