The whole thing with WWII and all, well to be perfectly blunt, Hitler had always hoped to peacefully settle with England, and that they would look the other way as Germany expanded. Hitlers error was trying to manage a war of two fronts, with Russia, and against the US (yeah, he wasnt very pleased with Japan over that one), and everyone else who was reorganizing after they got their nose broke by Germany. If he had not turned against Russia, and kept at England, England would have fallen sooner. It was already being razzed to the ground. Germany wasn't being razed like that until we got involved.
What little of a airforce England even had, many of their planes and quite a few of their seasoned pilots were actually on loan from us before we jumped into WWII officially, so its not like we were just leaving England to the wolves prior to Pearl Harbor. We were supplying military gear and personal secretly. And just to state the obvious, it wasn't even our fight. England, France, etc declared war with Germany initially, we did not. WE did not ask to be dragged into others crap half a world away.
England was not a military might, and lost many of its skirmishes during WWII. Many of its soldiers were rescued from both German and Japanese POW camps during WWII by the American military near the wars end. If America had not became involved in WWII, England would have surely fallen eventually after Germany either defeated or came to a truce with Russia. Already being razzed in the major cities, most of Englands major military was in shambles trying to restructure. Hitlers war on two fronts only truly backfired on him when the US got involved, because he had to divide many resources he needed for the Russian campaign to try to stem off the US, not England or Frances, assault.
If Germany did not have America to contend with, it could have focused more resources towards Russia's defeat, as resources were its key problem, fuel and other war essentials that were being spread to thin. Man power and technology itself was never a issue. It already had France in a box, and England was just a flea on its back when it was turning on Russia. Its always amusing to see how citizens, the youth in England now overstate their countries importance in WWII. If not for US intervention, its more likely then not that half to most of you wouldn't be here today, and that's a debt you and your countrymen will never be able to repay, or intend to for that matter. Proof in point, you canceled Mongrels. I just found this show on Hulu. It was amazing, and amazing to see it was canned after season 2. You wanna start repaying that debt? MONGRELS....SEASON....3....NOW! If you're good for nuthin else other then raping the Irish, the least you could do is give us some worthy entertainment.
