Broke my charger/charging port.. help?

my battery tends to run down quickly, but while charging it i layed the laptop down wrong and the charger snapped out of it's port. The charger doesn't appear broken and there doesn't seem to be any pieces of it stuck inside the port, but for some reason the connection is now loose and I'm unable to charge. It's possible that when it snapped, some of the outer material of the port snapped off, but idk if that's enough to entirely keep it from charging. Is there a way i can fix this easily (im no tech guru), or charge my laptop another way?

If you were a tech guru, I might say yes. But in this instance, I think it needs to be fixed by a pro. Wild guess at price: maybe $100 or so.
