Broken Hp screen and no VGA port

I have an HP model 11-d010nr and it does not have a VGA port for me to try to connect using the external monitor. I have an ASUS laptop that offers both opitions. Can I connect the HP using the HDMI to the ASUS? Or is the external monitor or TV my only choice. If so what are the steps I need to complete this? Thanks for reading.

You need to replace the display on the HP or connect via HDMI to a display with a HDMI port.
That's it, though you do get some converters that run from USB to your chosen display output these days.
Rather just place the display.
