Please help, if you can
When I attemp to start my laptop (Compac Presario 2500) I get:
\windows\system32\config\system
Trying to use my original Setup CD-ROM doe not help, as in most cases i got the same message:
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system
Occasionaly the machine does go to the "Windows Setup" blue screen, but then I always get the same message:
"The file acpi.sys is corrupted. Press any key to continue"
Pressing any keys brings me back to the same circle described above.
Any ideas how to escape and fix this problem, PLEASE!!!!
