Budget laptop for graphics

Aug 13, 2016
I have an old latitude d630c with 2.4ghz Intel core 2duo, 120gb 7200rpm drive. I use it for standard Internet, movies and word processing but my primary use is Photoshop and Illustrator. I have Adobe Studio CS6. I am on a budget so I was looking at refurbished laptops. I want a 1tb drive but all of the affordable refurbs I have seen have 5400rpm drives. Surprisingly my old laptop isn't horrible for my graphics but I need better. Will more drive space, ram and a quad core processor make up for the 5400rpm or will I not notice because what I have now is just tolerable?
There are so many laptops out there that it's pretty much impossible to pick anything without a specific budget. Look for a Lenovo W510 or 520 laptop, will be plenty fast as they would come with a real quad core CPU and have a good size and quality screen, will be about $250-400 depending on the model.
