Hey guys. A family member asked me to help them pick out a nice laptop for around $800ish.

She runs Photoshop mostly.

I'm trying to find her something with nice build quality and good features but there seem to be many options in that range and I havnt been keeping up with them that much.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Hey,

Mac or Windows?
Mac definitely is more expensive (for that money) and with Windows you can pick something nice too.
Couple things to check would be: Dedicated video (DDR5) > 8gb Ram DD4 (i think for that price...not sure) > Any i7 Processor (maybe an i5 too).
I also recommend buying a model with an SSD, it's like insanely faster. Or you can add it later ofc.
If u need help choosing one let me know, but with that you should be fine.
