wanted to update computer with an inexpenise computer i found hp 15 t has amd quad -core a12-972p 8gb memory 1 tb 5400rpm sata would this processor be a good one or would the intel core 15-7200 they are bothe hp computers thank you

The AMD mobile processor is old and out-dated. You'll get better performance from the laptop with the Intel i5-7200 processor.
